People start going on holiday in June, so how about trying to get millions of Network members together for a knees-up? This is just a straightforward party with plenty of chatting, lots of eating (several hot main courses plus loads of puddings), drinking (all drink included), and disco with dancing. Get as many people in your car or taxi as possible to help the parking (we’ve never had a problem yet but I live in hope) and arrive at 8pm

Pot-Luck supper at Ken’s, Shrewsbury

For those who like a convivial supper, Ken suggests bringing either two portions of a main course or two portions of a pudding. You could, if you like, indicate whether you’ll bring main or pud but my guess is that there’ll be plenty to go round without any planning. Don’t feel you have to spend ages preparing a Cordon Bleu concoction – Sainsbury’s ready meals or fruit or cheese and biscuits would be fine too. I have a feeling this could be a super evening even a riotous evening. Prior booking is not absolutely essential but Ken will need to have an idea of how many people may turn up. We think about thirty is the limit. If the weather’s really nice we could even eat outside, certainly a stroll along the river Severn afterwards is definitely on the cards. Phone me for directions.
